Records are read live from the authoritative registry over RDAP, the IETF protocol that replaced WHOIS. We show only the fields the registry actually publishes — nothing is estimated or filled in by us, and registrant contact details are withheld by registries for privacy.

What you get

Registrar — the company the domain is registered through, with its IANA ID where the registry publishes one.
Registration and expiry dates — as recorded by the registry, not inferred.
Nameservers and EPP status codes — which tell you where the domain is hosted and whether it is locked against transfer.
Registrar prices for that extension — read from each registrar’s own published price list. Extensions we have not captured say so rather than showing an estimate.

If a domain has no record

A registry returning no record usually means the name is unregistered — but it is not a guarantee. Names can be reserved, premium-priced or blocked by the registry, and a few registries do not answer these queries at all. Confirm at the registrar before you rely on it. Where we cannot reach a registry we say so plainly instead of guessing, because an unverified domain is not the same as an available one.
